prompts him to make the choices he does, and it is these choices that ultimately
leads to his downfall.

they never tell Macbeth what to do.
Three greetings, Thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor and King.
First is true, second comes true immediately after.
Witches shows Macbeth line of kings after he kills Banquo.
Macbeth chooses to kill Duncan, to have Banquo murdered, murders
Macduff's innocent family.
Spurred on by ambition by Lady Macbeth, and he goes ahead with the
murders.
